Chalcantite  CuSO x 5HO

Chalcanthite is a copper sulfate. Chemical formula CuSO4 x 5H2O and forms crystals with a beautiful blue color. This color is the result of a copper mineral composition, and thus color can be considered as natural. This mineral forms naturally inside a copper mine, but it can also be grown in the laboratory, where it creates these great impressive crystals. This piece was created in the laboratory in Poland. The mineral is used in various applications, one of them is to protect the vines from certain fungi. Keep in mind that if put in direct sunlight tends to lose its water and the color fades slowly. Do not lick as made of copper and sulfur and may be toxic in excessive amounts taken orally.
