ZINCITE Poland

Zincite is mineral form of zinc oxide (ZnO). It belongs to a group of very rare minerals. It is relatively soft mineral with hardness of 4, however it is heavy with specific gravity of 5,66. It’s crystals are hexagonal.

In crystal form it occurs very rarely in nature. It’s found in Franklin and Sterling mines in New Jersey.

It can be grown in laboratory by hydrothermal method or by oxidizing zinc with carbon dioxide in temperature around 2700 F. In these conditions crystal forms of mineral can be created with crystals about finger sized. Colors of the crystals are from colourless to green, yellow, orange and deep red.

In Poland it is created sometimes in smelters used to produce zinc white – powder used in white paint production. Crystals slowly grow inside smelter until it breaks down. When sometimes smelter walls cracks because of high temperature carbon dioxide comes in and reacts with zinc vapours. When it happens smelter must be put out and disassemble and that is expensive. One can say that these crystals form by human activity but in spite of him.

During last few years factories improved it’s technology so there are no more accidents and that means there are no more crystals formed.

Zincite crystals are perfect for jewellery making and cutting.

Zincite crystals are semiconductors. It is very important in space and military electronics, where it substitutes silicon (Si). It’s advantage over silicon is that electronic circuits that use it won’t get destructed by electromagnetic impulse or electromagnetic bomb, so it’s durable in hard conditions.

ZINCITE Poland

Zincite, natural - not laboratory grown, comes from Poland, where it forms in the smokestacks in the factories.  It varies in color:  Clear, Green, Yellow, Red....etc.  Due to pollution impact on the environment, Polish authorities have ordered all smokestacks to be cleaned out and processes to be improved.  Our source in Poland tells us that all Zincite has been harvested from the smokestacks, and no one knows when or if it will form again.

Zincite is a very rare mineral, and has been found in New Jersey, but only as very small, grain-sized crystals.Poland is also a source of this mineral. They formed by an unexpected accident where the conditions became just right within large smoke stacks at a Zinc smelting facility in Poland, forming these fantastic crystals which grow attached to the insides of the smoke stacks.

Born in fiery flames, crystalline Zincite is an excellent stone for transformation and alchemicalizing your life. It anchors the light body in to the physical realm, assists in fulfilling karmic agreements and soul evolution, and synthesizes physical energy and personal power. Assisting the manifestation process and re-energizing depleted systems, Zincite removes hypnotic commands and energy blocks and encourages free flow of life force.
